Critical Elements in Getting Started

Please let me know of any priority queries you have or topics you are hoping to see covered.

I plan to give you some information on the basic requirements, such as:

• Choosing Your First Niche, I recommend one of your Interests.
• Choice of Web Presence (eg – Own Site/Facebook Group/Free Blog/YouTube Channel).
• Registering a Domain, I recommend it being separate to your Hosting company.
• Selecting a Hosting Company.
• Autoresponders.

Just as a quick example of a free Blogger Blog I set one up at https://pracmanjohn.blogspot.co.uk/.
It took me about 35 minutes, though it can be done much more quickly if you are better practised at using Google Mail than I am. If you have a Google Mail Address just give it a try, it’s a simple way of just getting a feel for Blogging with no payments for Domain or Hosting. I don’t recommend it as a permanent set up if you want to earn from your work but I found it an easy way to build up a bit of “scribbling-on-line” confidence when I first started about 10 years ago.

I still have to install and set up several Plugins on this Blog, but looking after Grandchildren tired me out and I had to let my own deadlines slip a little. I will now have to finish collecting the Plugin Packets and uploading them into my WordPress Back Office. Some of them are too large for my Hosting limits to upload directly but I know I’ll quickly recall how to use my free program Filezilla to upload them using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and I mean to explain that later as well.

Meanwhile – it’s August – and hopefully there will be SOME sunshine to soak into my old bones, got to admit that i do love a bit of sunshine!
